La Colina School opens
La Colina School opened as a Colombian coeducational bilingual school (English-Spanish), with the mission to nurture well-rounded, competent, and happy individuals through personal, social, and cognitive development.
A new campus in the forest
Our school relocated to La Calera and became a Forest School. Nestled in the Andean forest near the San Rafael Reservoir, our campus offers students a unique and inspiring learning environment spanning over 11,000 square meters of natural surroundings.
Joined ISP
La Colina became part of International Schools Partnership - ISP, a global network of world-class schools, opening doors to international collaboration, innovative learning, and opportunities for students to thrive as global citizens.
Major technological leap
Thanks to our partnership with ISP and our campus relocation, we introduced new technology tools in our classrooms. Combined with our active learning approach, these tools enable students to engage in collaborative learning within an environment that inspires and motivates them.
Innovating Math learning
The adoption of the Singapore Math approach marked a major step in strengthening our school’s academic program. This method, focused on deep understanding and the development of reasoning skills, allowed students to approach mathematics in a clearer, more organized, and meaningful way.
Introducing the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
Cambridge accreditation has strengthened our school’s academic identity, enabling us to offer an international curriculum that enriches students’ learning from the earliest years. This recognition has elevated educational standards, opened new learning opportunities, and reaffirmed our commitment to high-quality, globally-focused education.
Association with the British Council
The partnership with the British Council strengthened English language development at the school and provided access to international resources, training, and standards. This collaboration enhanced the quality of the bilingual program and expanded opportunities for students to prepare effectively in a global environment.
